About Dr. Patrick Darnley Hudson

I trained in London and the U.S., practiced as a plastic and hand surgeon for decades, and then as a psychotherapist. I now work as a board-certified coach, and medical ethicist. My path has taken me through operating rooms, ethics committees, coaching rooms, and the long quiet of Jungian analysis. I've burned out, rebuilt, and stayed curious.

This site is not about reinvention. It's about integration. The work here isn't about becoming someone new. It's about becoming someone whole Y.ou don't have to start over. You have to gather the threads and see what they mean now.

What I Do Now

I work with physicians and surgeons—people navigating emotional complexity, moral pressure, anger, identity loss, or institutional conflict. Coaching with me isn't performative. It's not strategic branding or professional polish. It's reflective, nuanced, and rooted in deep respect for the inner life of doctors.

I also write. I teach. And I build tools for physicians who still believe the work is worth doing, but not at any cost.

What I Believe

     - That medicine is still a vocation.

     - That we heal best in the presence of someone who understands, and stays.
